However, the NDAA (The National Defense Authorization Act) Is quite real, and very scary! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">According to <a href="http://riliberty.com/">RiLiberty.com</a> Section 1021 of the 2012 NDAA repeals the doctrine of <a href="http://www.strategicstudiesinstitute.army.mil/pdffiles/ksil347.pdf" target="_blank">Posse Comitatus</a> by allowing the military to exercise a policing function within the United States. It authorizes the President to designate as an 'enemy combatant' any U.S. Citizen or legal alien the President determines supports al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or any other terrorist forces. Section 1021 is unclear and it is subject to abuse, because is applies to vague 'substantial support' for undefined 'associated forces'</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This also gives the President authorization to dispose of such citizen and legal alien 'enemy combatants' according to the Law of War, including:</span><br />
<br />
<ul><li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Indefinite detention without charge, or trail until the end of hostilities </span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Prosecution through military commission or</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Transfer to a foreign country or foreign entity. </span></li>
</ul><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The NDAA for fiscal year 2012 was signed into United States Law on December 31, 2011 By President Barack Obama. <span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 19px;">The Act authorizes $662 billion </span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 19px;"> in funding, among other things "for the defense of the United States and its interests abroad." In a </span><span style="color: black;">signing statement</span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 19px;">, President Obama described the Act as addressing national security programs, Department of Defense health care costs, </span><span style="color: black;">counter-terrorism</span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 19px;"> </span><b><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">within the U.S. and abroad, and military modernization.</span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;"> The Act also imposes new economic sanctions against </span><span style="color: black;">Iran</span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;"> (section 1045), commissions reviews of the military capabilities of countries such as </span><span style="color: black;"><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-origin: initial; line-height: 19px;">Iran</span></span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">, </span><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-origin: initial; line-height: 19px;">China</span></span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">, and </span><span style="font-size: x-small;"><span style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; background-origin: initial; line-height: 19px;">Russia</span></span></span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;">,</span><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;"> and refocuses the strategic goals of NATO towards energy security.</span></b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><b><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;"><br />

</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/01/02/president-obama-signed-the-national-defense-authorization-act-now-what/" target="_blank">Forbes</a> quoted President Obama saying; </span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px; line-height: 24px; text-align: left;">“The fact that I support this bill as a whole does not mean I agree with everything in it,</span><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px; line-height: 24px; text-align: left;"> I have signed this bill despite having serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation and prosecution of suspected terrorists.”</span></div><div><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px; line-height: 24px; text-align: left;"><br />
</span></div><div><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 24px; text-align: left;">So, Mr. President, if you don't agree with everything in the bill, then why sign it?</span></div><div><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 24px; text-align: left;"><br />
</span></div><div><span style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; line-height: 24px; text-align: left;">Overall, the National Defense Authorization Act, is Unconstitutional, Our Founding Fathers, drafted the Constitution, to make sure we continued to be One Nation Under God, With LIBERTY and JUSTICE for ALL!!</span></div><div><br />
